In this post, you will learn everything about sewing knits. Here I gather a list of the best tutorials to improve your Sewing Knit Fabrics skills.
You’ll find here the very basics on how to handle and sew knits, how to binding, hemming, sew with and without an overlock machine, and more! Keep reading and become a knit fabric expert.

I admit it. Sewing with knit fabrics wasn’t always my favorite thing in the world.
Mostly because I used to struggle a lot with the tensions of my overlock machine. And this happened just as I sewed knits not wovens (Insert frustration face here).
But the practice makes the master.
And after practicing A-LOT, I was able to enjoy sewing with knits. The reality is that sewing patterns are easier to draft, the end garments are usually more comfortable and there are so many great shortcuts to finish faster and prettier.
Not to mention, that we do have a considerable percentage of our sewing patterns in our store that are intended to be sewn with knit fabric.
That is why I decided to gather the greatest and smartest tutorials I could find about the topic.
And here, as same as in my post about 3 ways to insert a zipper, we will be using this interfacing as a support material to get better end results. I recommend this product a lot as is the one I regularly use, it’s only 6 dollars or so and it has great reviews on Amazon, which was the main reason I started to use it. Read more about this interfacing.
