DIY Christmas Dog Bandana

This video tutorial was inspired by the Christmas season. And if I might say so, I totally overachieved this year’s Christmas Crafts and Sewing.

But today, I wanted to make this date unique to our best friend.

Our pet, the one that accompanies them 365 days a year and always has a happy tail for us.

So, why not make them with our own hands, a lovely Christmas bandana?

That’s an excellent way to show them our love, affection, and the emotion we feel for them.

And why not? A little warmth around his neck in this cold season.

I have wanted to do this project for a few Christmases now.

This year I finally got the time to do it. After making my guest’s Christmas Slippers Patterns, I got a lot of left-over material. So, I decided to put it to good use and make something for my three furry angels.

Figuring out how to take pictures of your dogs.

And, if you do, please let me know your tricks. I couldn’t, for the life of me, take a decent picture of these three.

All though I managed to take some pretty nice portraits of them.

Look at her, all fancy and bossy.

  1. Hi
I have the elf dog bandana and thought it’s about time I made a start on making one for my dog and one for my granddaughters dog ready for this Christmas. I’m not the speediest of sewers.
The problem is, I can’t make out the neck sizes.
On the pattern the neck sizes are faint and blurry.
Please could you tell me what are the sizes?
    Thank you.

      Hi Jayne!
I just checked on the pattern and if you zoom in the PDF you should be able to read the sizes right which go from XS (11″) to XL (22″) neck sizes.

      1. Hi again Dafhtne
I did zoomed in but as the writing is in a grey colour and blurred, it’s made no difference. Plus my eyesight isn’t what it once was. lol.
If you would be so kind as to fill in the missing sizes, I’d be grateful.
        XS = 11″ / S = ? / M = ? / L = ? / XL = 22″
The fabric came yesterday so I’m eager to make a start.
        Many thanks
