I thought I will give all my subscribers their Christmas gift early this year. That’s why today I upload the Slippers Free Sewing Pattern to our Facebook Group, My Golden Thimble Sewing Club.

I’ve tried in the past to find a good set of Slippers Sewing Patterns out there, but I just never did.
Either they are too vague or to complex to do. And what do I do when I can’t find any pattern out there for me to sew??
I make my own!! Yes, yes my beautiful friends, I draft one easy Slippers FREE Sewing Pattern for all of us!!
How to Download the Slippers Free Sewing Pattern?
This pattern is exclusive for the members of the My Golden Thimble Sewing Club group on Facebook. You will have to join in order to download this Free Sewing Pattern.

Remember in this Sewing Club you can ask other members any question that you have for MGT’s projects, sewing techniques and share amazing content.
New Download Option!!
Now, I know that not every one of you has a Facebook account. That’s why now you can just sign in to your account to download this and other free exclusive freebies from our blog here.
I do still recommend that you find a way to join our Facebook group so you can find this AND, the other free sewing patterns we only give away there. Either way is a win for you ;).
For this project you will need:
In this project, I used fleece and 3/8″ deep foam. With about 1/2 yard of each, I was able to make about 3 to 4 pairs of slippers. (It will depend on the sizes you used)
How to Sew the Slippers Free Sewing Pattern
Step 1:
Draw the silhouette of the pattern mirrored on the foam so it doesn’t lose its shape if you pin the pattern. Then do the same with the fleece fabric.

Step 2:
Take the top pieces of the slipper and pin them right sides of the fabric facing together. Then sew the bottom (1/2″). Cut little notches of the curve and turn the piece wrong sides facing together.

Step 3:
Make an edge stitch to the top part so the fleece and the foam don’t move apart when you make the next step.

Step 4:
Make a layer of the sole fleece fabric facing right side up, the top of the slipper facing right side up and the foam sole with the wrong side facing up.

Pin and sew around the sole (1/2″) leaving about 2″ of the top open. Then cut triangle notches at the bottom of the sole and also 2 cuts at the end of the open space like in the picture below:

Lift the layer of the fleece sole and turn it inside out from there.

Step 5:
Sew the extra open space (1/2″) to finish up the slipper, cut the extra fabric and then turn it inside out.

And that’s it!!

How it went?? I want to hear everything, tell me which fabric and colors would you use and why.
I hope you enjoyed this gift. Don’t forget to subscribe to keep track of every news on our blog and the next free gift (only for members) that I will give in the future.

Happy Sewing!!

Hi, I love your slipper pattern (and all of the other patterns you make 😊). Do you have any suggestions on how to make the soles of the slippers not slick? I am afraid to make them for my family since we have hardwood floors and old bones don’t handle falls like they used to.
Thanks 😊
Hi Laura! Thank you so much for liking our patterns, I am very happy you do!
So for the slippers to be more sturdy I will attach them to soles like these ones from Amazon: https://amzn.to/4mSNkIC or these ones https://amzn.to/46RN9HE
Hope it helps!
Love, Dafhtne
I have seen people put dots of hot glue. Maybe try on scraps first to see if it makes fabric slip resistant.
I love this, this is genius!
where do I find the slippers pattern al I can find is the tutorial
Hi Trevor! Check out the tutorial, it has the link to our facebook group where you can download the sewing pattern. It’s called My Golden Thimble Sewing Club.
Hi,
I don’t use FB so is there another way to “join”?
Hi Deb, I am sorry. There are some patterns that are only available via a Facebook group. 🙁
Where did you get your foam? It appears from the photos to be foam with a fabric backing. I can find something at online fabric stores called “auto headliner” that seems to be the same. It seems like it would be uncomfortable to wear and walk in regular unlined foam.
This is the one I used: https://amzn.to/31YE5mA
I have the Pattern but would like to know if there’s a video I could follow? I just don’t understand some parts.
I am planning on making a video tutorial for the slippers sewing pattern very soon!
Hi, I love your pattern but like a lot of people I am not on Facebook, and sorry I don’t want to be.
Is there some other way to get your slipper pattern in future, even if you charge a fee?
Thank you
best regards.
Hi Ruth,
Yes, as requested for some followers I am planning to provide this pattern through another source. I will let you know here when I do!
Love, D
I’d really like the pattern. I tried to join the golden thimble Facebook group. I answered the questions and kept beating the submit button, but nothing happened. It just stayed there. I’m also afraid that if I join, I’ll be overwhelmed and won’t know how to find this exact pattern. Is there an easier way?
I am afraid this pattern is only available on Facebook right now. I will soon put it on another medium. But if you need help finding the pattern just write to me on the group and I will direct you right to it.
Love this! Looking forward to having a go at this. Will let you know how it goes.. Thanks for sharing!
I would appreciate it greatly, thank you!!
do you sell the foam thank you
I don’t sorry 🙁 But I think I linked it on Amazon
