Do you need some ideas for quick, cheap, and cute stocking stuffers, gifts, or decorations??
Well, my friend… Then the answer is yes…
This is the perfect winter tutorial for you.
I must confess something to all my readers… I hate cold weather.
Cold hands, cold feet, cold head… Everything is frozen. Having to put on a thousand layers of clothes and at least two pairs of socks to put one finger out on the street …
My bae especially makes fun of me in winter time…
But I can’t help it. I am and always going to be a little Frozen Snow Flake all winter.
So one of the things that came to me from heaven, was this nice and functional project: DIY Reusable Hand Warmers.
The most simple and cheap sewing project for all the icicles like me!!
These DIY Hand Warmers are perfect to heat your jacket pockets when you leave the house or to make and give as Christmas Quick DIY Gifts for your friends and Family.

How to Make Hand Warmers.
Step 1- Download your Christmas Themed Hand Warmers Free Sewing Pattern
The first thing you have to do is download this free pattern from our pattern store.
As a very important note: I remind you to use fabric with little or no polyester content since as they are heated in the microwave, it is best to be sure that nothing will melt or burn in there.
Here I cut out each layer of a different color (the front of Plaid red fabric and the back of a plain black fabric).
But you can do them as you like.
The next thing you have to do is place your needle as close to the edge as your machine allows.
And sew the edge of each figure making sure to leave a good space of the two layers open, because that’s where we put the rice.

Step 2- How do Hand Warmers work?
Have you ever wonder, What’s in hand warmers?
At least the most popular homemade ones are Rice.
Rice heats wonderfully in the microwave and keeps its warmth for a long time.
So we are filling our DIY Hand Warmers with rice too. With the piece of paper, form a funnel and with the help of a spoon, put the rice into your figure.
Step 3- Close your DIY Reusable Hand Warmers
To finish, sew either by hand or by machine the space that was left open.

These little bundles are so beautiful that I even dared to hang a few on my Christmas tree. (Although they are a bit heavy, they look divine).
