Cleaning Schedule for the Home

Having a clean and organized space can do wonders for us. It will improve your mood, motivation and make your time more efficient.

Believe it or not, clean space can affect how we feel and the way we can invest our time smartly.

It can also benefit our health since we will be in a space with more air ventilation, no dust, humidity, or dirt (any allergic people here?).

Do you have problems falling asleep?

Cleaning will help too!

Working or SAH mom? You will be ready for any unexpected visitors while you take care of all the work a mom does every day.

All of these strategies will work for anyone. Families with children or pets (no, not comparing), roommates organization, or for people who live alone.

Do you want to know what is the best thing??

We made a super cool printable just to make the whole thing extra fun!

How can I make an easy Cleaning Schedule?

To make a Cleaning Schedule you can start by making a list distributing the tasks you need to do at home in one day, once or twice a week, and once or twice a month.

The idea is to plan each day of the week.

If cleaning and organizing isn’t really your thing, then start by doing small tasks first. For example making your bed every day when you wake up, taking out the garbage, or cleaning the dishes.

Plan the bigger chores to do once or twice a week. These tasks can be anything from cleaning the bathrooms, doing the laundry, or maybe dusting or washing windows.

Don’t forget to use our Printable Cleaning Stickers to help with your organization.

I don’t know about you but I love cleaning.

It relaxes me and it just makes me happy to see everything sparkly clean.

But it doesn’t hurt to have an extra incentive to make it more fun.

We’ve made a super cool printable cleaning stickers file for you to get motivated. Put them in your planner to organize everything in a visual and beautiful way.

You can mark the days you need to do each one of them and print them as many times as you need.

The file comes in SVG Vector Art File as well as in PNG, JPEG, and PDF formats.

You can use this Clean Printable with your Cricut or Silhouette machine and print them as much as you want.

All though, you don’t necessarily need to have a Cricut machine, just print on adhesive paper and cut with scissors.

What are the most important daily cleaning tasks?

You need to focus on the zones of your home that get the dirtiest fast. These are usually the zones of the home we used the most.

For example, the dishes (as we eat at least 3 times a day), the bedrooms, and swipe the floors.

Next to that, try to think about spaces that get disorganized and that you use daily. The closets, and picking up clothes can be a couple of good examples.

Try to maintain things as much as you can so you don’t have to deep clean that often. You can use things such as our DIY Toilet Cleaner Pods to just throw at the bathroom to keep it clean and smell-free.

Are you into crafts? Make our own reusable sponges so you can use them on your everyday cleaning. You can designate one sponge on each space so you have them ready to go.

Which cleaning tasks can I do weekly?

Removing dust from furniture, doors, and floors, disinfecting computers, keyboards, the mouse, vacuuming carpets, changing linens, bath towels, laundry and pressing are some simple tasks that we can complete every week and that will not take us much time.

Which tasks can I do monthly?

Clean walls, sofa, curtains, clean cabinets, tiles, and bathroom wall, clean appliances, disinfect doorknobs and light switches (very carefully), disinfect garbage disposal, wash garbage can and air conditioner radiators.

How can I schedule a deep cleaning in my home?

You can make a list of the largest and hardest to reach areas of your home and schedule and spread them out at your convenience throughout the year.

If you contract service to deep clean your carpets, you can schedule it when you take a break from work and if you want you can take into account some of these tasks to include them in your plan:

Clean the corners of the ceiling, ceiling lamps, light fixtures, baseboards, windows around the house (including the frames), and even the railings or gates of the garage, the garage, the dryer vent, and patio furniture.

Now, the large areas are not necessarily the hardest to clean.

There are also the dishes, cutlery, ceramics, and jars of our home that we must wash and dry so they do not have humidity and we can use them to store anything.

For that I recommend you to see our tutorial HOW TO CLEAN A CANDLE JAR to see how to clean and reuse your jars, also since we are organizing and cleaning the jars in the kitchen you can also use these Free Editable Pantry Labels for your items to be prettier.
